So as promised by Mike, we decided to post what we are doing for the menu. We knew all along we wanted to do something a little different, so after much internet and tummy searching (Mike researched long and hard for this one), we went with Thai food! Typhoon food to be exact. Typhoon is a wonderful high end thai restaurant that specializes in fresh, current, and creative thai food. They have multiple locations in Oregon and Washington, and also have a large catering side of the business. The owner, Bo, and her husband Steve actually showed up to our initial meeting. They did a great job listening to what we wanted, and promising to do it within our budget.
We ended up doing a thai street food style meal that is vegetarian friendly. There will be a grill station out on the patio grilling up skewers of all kinds with special sauces to accompany, pagoda boxes with two types of noodles, fresh papaya salad and fresh fruit, and yummy salad rolls.
We’ll have various levels of spice for those concerned with having their mouths set ablaze, and we hope you all enjoy going on this culinary trip with us!
